On wednesday, 1st of December, a traditional student competition in mobile robotics, better known as Robo league, was held at Faculty of computer and information science in the context of Day of faculty.
This time in the battle arena, the robots were gathering their stores for winter - cubes, which would shelter them from the freezing winds in the cold days to come. Eight teams consisting of udergratuate students joined the competition. The robots in the arena were moving only with the use of camera and staged a tense performance, in which the audience could really enjoy. The visitors were also given a chance in-between the official battles to manually battle with robots using the keyboard.
The final results of Robo league 2010 are:
1. place: Masters of Deception (Andraž Vrhovec, Anže Kravanja, Dejan Tesovnik)
2. place: R2D2 (Amela Rakanovič, Nino Bašič)
3. place: Podli Gusarji Forever (Martin Artnik, Jure Ham, Matevž Bizjak)
The 1st placed in the manual competition is the team Optimist (Miha Becele, Peter Miklavčič).
All organizers would like to express their gratitude towards all the competitors for their participation and want to congratulate them on their bravery. A special thanks goes to all who helped the Robo league 2010 to succeed.
