Laboratorij za umetno inteligenco

V Laboratoriju za umetno inteligenco se ukvarjamo z raziskavami na področju strojnega učenja, odkrivanja znanj iz podatkov, induktivnega programiranja, kvalitativnega sklepanja in pristopov umetne inteligence na področju vodenja sistemov. Rezultati naših raziskovanj so na primer metode obravnave šumnih podatkov v atributnem učenju, vizualizacijske metode na področju odkrivanj znanj iz podatkov, metode strojnega odkrivanje konceptualnih hierarhij, metode kvalitativnega modeliranje in rekonstrukcije operaterjevih veščin. Metode strojnega učenja in odkrivanj znanj iz podatkov uporabljamo v vrsti aplikacij s področja strojništva, ekologije, medicinske diagnostike in prognostike.

Aleks Jakulin, sicer bivši študent FRI in mladi raziskovalec v laboratoriju, je 29. avgusta 2006 prejel nagrado Artificial Intelligence Disertation Award, ki jo za doktorske disertacije s področja umetne inteligence podeljuje European Coordinating Committee for Artificial Intelligence. Čestitamo!
