Professor Dong Seog Han from the Kyungpook National University from South Korea is visiting Faculty for Computer and Information Science for this whole week. In this occasion he will conduct a lecture about Communication Between Smart Vehicles and Traffic Environment. You are kindly invited to join us on Monday 17 October 2016 at 3 PM in lecture hall P20 at FRI.
Abstract:
Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technology is one of the basic elements of connected and autonomous driving vehicles. The wireless access in vehicular environments (WAVE) standard has been recently established for V2X services. In this talk we will introduce the WAVE standard. In addition, we will present our experience from the WAVE pilot test done in South Korea, and service examples for connected intelligent transportation systems (C-ITS). Finally, the future technology trend will be discussed on V2X and connected vehicles.
