News

In view of the current situation regarding the new coronavirus and on the basis of the measures and recommendations of the University of Ljubljana, we have taken additional measures at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science of UL, which will take effect on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 and are valid for 14 days, up to and including 23 March 2020. Measures may be extended and revised in the meantime in the light of developments.

1. All pedagogical forms of work with personal contact are cancelled (lectures, tutorials) and will be replaced with online delivery. All further implementation instructions will be provided to the students via the e-classroom.
2. No mid-term examinations shall be held during the period of validity of the measures.
3. Consultations shall be conducted by e-mail if not otherwise stated by the teacher.
4. The defense of diploma thesis takes place without the presence of the audience, and the deadlines for the defense of diploma thesis can be extended.
5. Student Affairs Office at UL FRI will be available to students via e-mail (studinfo@fri.uni-lj.si) and by telephone (during office hours, 10.30am to 12.30pm) on 01-479-8121 and 01-479- 8273 (undergraduate) and 01-479-8274 (graduate).
6. We postpone all extracurricular events - internal and external - that have already been announced (workshops, external lectures, fairs, etc.).
7. We strongly discourage students from traveling to Italy, China and South Korea, as well as to other areas at risk. However, whoever travels to endangered areas should isolate himself / herself 14 days after their return and report their absence to the Student Affairs Office.

We urge students and staff to adhere to the measures taken and to follow the instructions issued by the competent institutions (National Institute for Public Health, Ministry of Health) regarding public health.

Among students and employees there are also representatives of vulnerable groups with various chronic illnesses, therefore we should strictly follow the instructions to take care not only of ourselves, but also of reducing the possibility of transmission of the virus to vulnerable groups.
