The Public Scholarship, Development, Disability and Maintenance Fund of the Republic of Slovenia has published a call for candidates from the Western Balkan countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, the Republic of Kosovo, the Republic of North Macedonia, and the Republic of Serbia), offering €9,600 per year for living expenses.
The scholarships are intended for citizens of Western Balkan countries for master’s studies in selected fields in Slovenia. The selected fields of study are: natural sciences, mathematics, statistics, information and communication technologies (ICT), engineering, manufacturing technologies, construction, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, veterinary medicine, healthcare, and social security.
The application form and other required documentation must be submitted to the Public Scholarship, Development, Disability and Maintenance Fund of the Republic of Slovenia (Dunajska 20, 1000 Ljubljana). The envelope must be clearly marked “for the 380th public call” and submitted by the application deadline.
Applicants must have registered temporary residence in the Republic of Slovenia by the application deadline, or hold a valid power of attorney with a person residing in Slovenia. During their studies (from 1 October 2026 onward), the applicant must reside in Slovenia. By 1 October 2026, they must submit an application for a temporary residence permit for the purpose of study. This application may be submitted either abroad at a competent Slovenian diplomatic mission or consulate before arriving in Slovenia, or upon arrival at the competent administrative unit in Slovenia.
