ACES - Autopoietic Cognitive Edge-cloud Services

As the number and capabilities of interconnected edge devices continue to expand, the challenges of managing massive amounts of exchanged data have intensified. To address this need, cloud services at the edge are becoming increasingly necessary. With the application of artificial intelligence, cloud management functionalities such as workload scheduling, service and resource management, and data and policy management can be improved through the introduction of self-creation and cognition at various levels. The University of Ljubljana's Faculty of Computer and Information Science (UL FRI) is responsible for monitoring Work Package 3 in the ACES project, which focuses on the development of intelligent systems for controlling infrastructures from the cloud to the edge, including data acquisition, creation, and organization of knowledge about fog.
