Slovenian Competence Center on Chips and Semiconductor Technologies (CC Chip.SI) The CC Chip.SI project establishes the national competence center for chips and semiconductor technologies in Slovenia. It serves as a central hub connecting universities, research institutions, and industry to strengthen national expertise, innovation capacity, and collaboration in the semiconductor domain. The Center focuses on skills development, technology access, networking, and promotion. It provides training programs for students and professionals, facilitates access to advanced semiconductor design and fabrication technologies, and supports cooperation with European initiatives such as the European Chips Competence Centres Network (ENCCC), EuroHPC, EDIH, and the European Processor Initiative (EPI). By combining research excellence with industrial needs, CC Chip.SI contributes to building a resilient semiconductor ecosystem in Slovenia and Europe. The Faculty of Computer and Information Science, University of Ljubljana, contributes through expertise in open-source EDA tools, high-level synthesis, HPC, AI/ML, RISC-V system design, and supports communication and networking activities of the Center. Coordinator: Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana Partners: Faculty of Computer and Information Science (UL FRI), Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (UM FERI), University of Nova Gorica, Jožef Stefan Institute, and Nanocenter.
