In 2014, the Faculty moved to a new building in Brdo on the outskirts of Ljubljana. This followed a several-year construction project of new buildings for the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology (FKKT) and the Faculty of Computer and Information Science (FRI). This is the largest investment in the history of the University of Ljubljana and the largest project to date in Slovenia to be co-financed by European Union funds.
