FAP - Framework for Time Series Analysis and Prediction Abstract: Chronologically arranged arrays of numbers are used to express the change of the observed phenomena over time in a broad spectrum of different areas including finance, economics, medicine, engineering, meteorology, oceanography and in many other fields of natural and social sciences. Here, we will present our Framework for Analysis and Prediction (FAP), an open-source tool that incorporates most important algorithms in the field of time-series data mining.

Abstract:
The answer depends on the underlying structure of your institution. In this talk I will present the analysis that discovers how organizational structure has a profound impact on both inter- and intra-institutional research collaboration. Researchers involved in inter-department collaborations tend to be drastically more productive (by all considered productivity measures), collaborative (measured by the number of co-authorship relations) and institutionally important (in terms of the betweenness centrality in the co-authorship network) compared to those who collaborate only with colleagues from their own research departments.
